WHAT IS THE DOGS FOR THE CAUSE PROGRAM?
The Dogs for the Cause Program invites your organization’s supporters to dine at Southtown Hotdogs for lunch, dinner, or both, and earn up to 15% of all pre-tax sales generated by your group. When supporters dine in or order carryout and present your organization’s Dogs for the Cause fundraiser flyer on the scheduled date, 15% of their check (excluding tax) will be donated to your organization. Please note that gift card purchases are not included in this program. A check for the total donation will be issued one week after your event.
WHO QUALIFIES?
This program is open to any government-recognized non-profit with tax-exempt status and a valid Tax ID number, including: schools, churches, libraries, sports teams, other community groups.
HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
Your organization is responsible for publicizing the event ahead of time by distributing flyers in person and via email. Supporters must bring their flyers and present them to the server during their visit, or mention the event over the phone for carryout orders. To ensure your group receives credit, every participating guest must present a valid fundraiser flyer at each table or with each carryout order.
PLEASE NOTE
Flyers may not be distributed inside or within 50 feet of the restaurant before or during the event. We operate on the honor system and ask that all organization members follow this guideline.
- Fill out the form for available dates for your event.
- Prepare your flyer for approval.
- Advertise your event by emailing and handing out flyers to everyone you know.
- On the day or night of your event, your charitable organization will receive 15% of each net sale when the flyer is presented to the server.

Enjoy your evening at Southtown, knowing you are making a positive impact and raising funds for your organization. Your fundraiser check will be sent one week after the event.
Please note: Members of your organization may NOT solicit Southtown Hotdogs patrons' participation on the event day (for example, by passing out flyers or encouraging guests to mention the organization). The 15% donation of applicable net sales is non-negotiable.
TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL EVENT
- Include a flyer in your organization’s newsletter.
- Announce your Dogs for the Cause event on your website and provide a link to download the flyer PDF.
- Attach the flyer to emails sent to family, friends, office colleagues, and more.
- Contact your local newspaper, which often seeks information about charitable community events.
- Distribute flyers at large gatherings, group meetings, and area sporting events.
- Announce the fundraiser on the P.A. system at local events.
- Share the flyer and event details across all of your social media pages.
Remember, the broader your outreach, the more successful your event will be. The more people who attend your Dogs for the Cause event, the more funds your organization will earn. And for those unable to stay for a meal, carryout orders also count toward your fundraising total!
